SMD stands for surface-mounted device. The LED chips are housed in packages that are mounted onto the surface of a circuit board. These components form the pixels of the display, and modules combine to create a larger image.
For indoor use, pixel pitch should be considered alongside screen size and the distance to the audience. A smaller pitch places more pixels in the same area, which can help with detailed content at closer viewing distances.
